In 2004 after completing his education and earning his Bachelor of Arts at The University of Texas, Brent Hoffman moved back to South Texas to pursue his love of the land on his family ranches. Having grown up enjoying his family’s ranch he always knew he would return to his roots where he feels most at home and at peace.
After working for several months with his grandfather, Roger Hoffman, Sr., he realized that there was not one company that offered all the services a rancher needed to adequately maintain their property. That spurred the birth of Rockin’ h Ranch Services. On October 6, 2006, Brent filed his business with the State of Texas and started the company as a one-man bull dozer operation, that evolved into fence building, then barn building to now anything you can imagine for the infrastructure of a ranch; lodges, cabins, barndominiums, etc AND Commercial Projects: metal buildings & warehouses, airplane hangars, and automotive shops.
With Brent’s knowledge of ranching and engineering construction-like mind, Brent created a business that could offer a turnkey product to area landowners and business owners. From the clearing of land to the construction of fencing, the process evolved into barns then barndominiums, even lodges for ranch family compounds, and eventually led to commercial construction for both the ranch owner and the commercial businesses in the South Texas area.
As business grew, Brent was joined by his wife Jenna Hoffman. Jenna’s background as a landscape architect brought a wide variety of skills to the business. With her landscape architectural knowledge, she could add to the overall design of the project and make sure the grounds blended seamlessly with the vision the owners had for their ranch property. Her attention to detail ensured that every aspect of the project was excellent.
In October of 2021, Rockin’ h Ranch Services celebrated 15 years of providing outstanding services to the South Texas area. They have a loyal crew of employees and subcontractors that continue to strive to provide the best quality product to the customers who put their trust in Rockin’ h Ranch Services. This is truly a family-developed and operated business. Everyone that works with Rockin’ h Ranch Services is considered a part of the family and Brent and Jenna are very proud to have them as a part of their team. Rockin’ h Ranch Services honors their namesake by still offering heavy equipment operations on ranches but is growing into a new name as Rockin’ h Design + Build. They cater to their clients every step of the design + build process. They sit down with a potential client at their design table and draft out their dream on paper and build it from the ground up. We love what we do in our little niche of a business that serves the South Texan lifestyle.
